INNOVATION can be found far beyond just companies in software and hardware, but in a wide range of sectors including advanced manufacturing, life sciences and financial services.
And here are 35 great techfocused firms in Wales, from established companies going through new exciting technologydriven growth phases to highgrowth potential start-ups.
This year’s Wales Tech 35 is by no means an exhaustive list, but very much a snapshot highlighting that Wales has much to be proud of in terms of innovative firms, which are so vital to ensuring that the economy can improve productivity levels.

Launched earlier this year, Anythingforhire.com is aiming to revolutionise the UK hire industry.
Based in Cardiff, it was founded by technology entrepreneur Tej Randeva, who has 15 years’ experience in the hire and IT industry.
The site’s growing hire offer, which already has 700 suppliers signed up, includes limousines, coaches, skips and even bouncy castles. The site went live earlier this year after two years of development.
The business, which has been self-financed to date, is looking at a major funding round to scale up and expand its for-hire offer and customer reach.
Set up in Cardiff in 2015, Amplyfi is being tipped to become a Welsh unicorn (with a valuation of $1bn).
Exploring fathoms of the web undisturbed by the standard indexing of household search engines, its innovative software is helping companies to unearth potential future fallout from global issues and current affairs that could present challenges to business.
With a growing global client base, it is on track for revenues of £50m in just five years.
Based at the Life Sciences Hub in Cardiff Bay, Bond Digital Health has developed a range of digital products targeted at individual patients, medical practitioners, the pharmaceutical community and clinical developers.
Earlier this year it received a private equity investment of £200,000 to help grow the business and take on new employees. It was also awarded funding of more than £75,000 for various projects.
