Tiddly Prom: Bert and Cherry's Christmas Plum Pudding, St David's Hall, Cardiff

FOR the best part of a decade the delightful pairing of Bert and Cherry have been keeping kids entertained with a formula of songs, jokes and interactive storytelling that ensures families return year after year.

For veteran actor Berry (aka Bert) and multi-talented composer Woods (aka Cherry) it’s a winning formula.

The children’s shows staged annually as part of the wider Welsh Proms are produced by Arts Active – the education, community and audience engagement department of St David’s Hall and the New Theatre.

Recent years have seen the duo develop a Christmas show much to the delight of those under-fives who rightly feel that once a year is not enough to experience the magic of a Bert and Cherry production.

This special performance from the Tiddly Prom team brings Bert, Cherry and many of their musical friends back together for fun and frivolity.

Featuring songs from Bert’s three popular Tiddly Proms alongside festive favourites, this interactive live musical show is an ideal way for little ones to reintroduce the adults they look after to Christmas.

Bert is in a festive mood; the Christmas tree is up and he’s wrapped up everything ready for the big day. Cherry is coming to help put the finishing touches to the decorations and all their friends will be popping in too.

As usual expect a lively story, lots silly songs to sing along to and a large helping of musical plum pudding.

■ Tiddly Prom is at Level One, St David’s Hall, Cardiff, on Saturday, December 15, at 10.30am and 12.30pm and on Monday December 17 at 10.30am and 12.30pm.

■ Tickets cost £7.50 and all children over nine months old will require a ticket.
