Something is rotten in the state of Brexit

BREXIT, and all the endless rubbish/ nonsense we are witnessing, is an epic act of sabotage by the liberal elite on behalf of the state. Rebellions are usually carried out by the people against their rulers; this is the first revolt in British history to be carried out by the state against the people.

It flies in the face of all the democratic rules that this country used to believe in. The damage that will be done to that bond between the people and Parliament will be forever broken.

What is taking place is a carefully-planned establishment coup d’état and would have made old-style Communist despots’ retch. But not Corbyn and McDonnell.

Ten years after the expenses scandal, MPs are again confirming there is something rotten/parasitic about our political system, a malaise that rots away at the legitimacy of our political system. Why ask the publics its wishes in referenda, if the liberal elite, supported by the state, have no intention of delivering the public’s verdict?

The EU’s continued intransigence in defence of its rules will soon be tested by a major escalation of an Italian crisis. The ending of quantitative easing is causing problems for Italy, which is already in recession.

Given the scale of its national debt, and the restrictions of Euro membership, Italy will be forced to request massive financial aid from the EU. This will be denied. How the crisis unfolds from there is a simple coin-toss, but the bottom line is the EU can ill-afford a damaging failure to reach agreement with the UK as well. Mr Barnier says “the clock is ticking”, but it is ticking for the EU too.
