Bangor University ranks in top 10 for student satisfaction
BANGOR University’s focus on students is reflected in this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) – which saw Bangor once again ranked among the top 10 non-specialist universities in the UK.
The survey, a poll of over 330,000 graduating students from each university in the UK, provides comprehensive feedback on the student experience at each institution. This year, of all the universities that offer a broad range of subjects, Bangor is ranked joint ninth in the UK, with an overall satisfaction rate of 88%.
This positive evaluation of the Bangor experience was welcomed by the university’s pro vice-chancellor for teaching and learning, Professor Oliver Turnbull.
He said: “Bangor University has provided excellent teaching and strong support for students for more than 130 years, and I’m delighted to see that the results of the survey yet again reflect this.
“The fact that we have been ranked in the top 10 of UK universities for three years in succession proves that students at Bangor are delighted with their choice of university. These findings are also valuable for future students, who will make decisions about university places over the next few weeks.”
Professor Carol Tully, pro vicechancellor for students, said: “By working together with our students and the students’ union, Undeb Bangor, we’re able to constantly improve what we do, providing students with a great experience and a supportive environment.”
