A new integrated foundation year offered by Bangor’s School of Medical Sciences means that those not achieving the qualifications required for the three-year course, can now opt for a four-year route leading to the same qualification. New students will be starting at an exciting time – as Cardiff and Bangor universities are partnering to allow medical students, for the first time, to complete all their medical training in north Wales.

This new course is aimed at those wanting to learn more about government, society and the workings of political systems, focussing on issues such as power, governance, sovereignty, conflict, order, accountability and decision-making. Students will learn to analyse political ideas, practices and institutions in both historical and contemporary contexts.
