THE popular Chris Dyer toy and train sale arrives at the Market Hall in Brecon for the second time this year on Saturday, September 7 (10.30am and 3pm).

The sale has run every May and September for more than 15 years, under the same management, and is now well-established and highly popular with both stallholders and the public. Arrangements are in hand for next year’s sales.

In the meantime, a third Brecon event has been arranged for Sunday, December 8, with three shows per year planned for the future.

Chris Dyer said: “We look forward to our visits to the heart of the Beacons each year and the wonderful and historic Victorian Market Hall is one of our most unusual and well-liked venues.

“We have an excellent caterer operating at this show and the light and spacious Market Hall never ceases to be a big hit with everyone attending.

“We have traders present from all over the UK on a regular basis and not only do they enjoy coming to mid Wales, but they also find trading in Brecon to be worthwhile as the events draw healthy attendances locally and further afield.

“A wide range of models, old and new, will be on offer on the day, spread across 90-plus tables, with famous names present such as Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox, Tri-ang, Hornby, Wrenn, Lima, Bachmann and many, many more.

“At prices to suit every pocket, there will be something for everyone at Brecon and traders are hoping customers will bring in any surplus items for valuation, purchase or exchange.

“So get up into those attics and start bringing down your treasures from yesteryear, as they could be worth more than you think!”
