TRIBUTES have flooded in for a mum-of-three who died suddenly while on holiday at Pontins. Sioned Evans, 33, from Caernarfon, went into cardiac arrest while at the Prestatyn resort on Saturday morning. She could not be saved by medics and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death prompted hundreds of people to pay tribute to the popular mum.

A GoFundMe page, set up by friend Vincent Graham, said: “On Saturday I received devastating news that Sioned had passed away unexpectedly whilst on a family break away with her family.

“Sioned was only 33 years old, a loving partner to Rob and a loving mother to their three young boys.

“Rob and his family are absolutely heartbroken over the loss of Sioned, the love of his life, and life will never be the same for him and the boys.”

The fundraising page will help pay for her funeral, he said.

He added: “This is the most difficult and heartbreaking time and the last thing Rob needs is all this worry [about money] on top of the heartbreak.

“Sioned deserves the best send-off and, as a friend to Rob, I’m asking if you could please help by donating anything at all to help towards laying his beautiful partner, mother of their children, to rest.”

Caernarfon councillor Jason Parry said the community had been left devastated by the news.

He said: “I have seen what has been

going on social media and there is an outpouring of grief and shock. I have spoken to my sister, who knew her quite well, and I have a barber’s shop in the town and lots of people have spoken about it and it’s just such a shock to everybody. It’s just extra-sad because she was such a young age.”

Cllr Parry said people were particularly shocked because she was a young mother enjoying a holiday.

He added: “I hope that the community rallies round her family and are generous.

“When tragedies do happen here, the sense of community and support is incredible and they always rally round to support people.”

Dozens took to social media to express their shock and sadness, with people describing her as a loving mother and brilliant friend.

North Wales Police said in a statement: “Police were called to Pontins holiday camp Prestatyn at 7.25am on Saturday by ambulance control to a report of a 33-year-old female in cardiac arrest at the location.

“Police and ambulance attended the location but despite their best efforts the female was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious. However, a post-mortem will be conducted in due course.”
