Cardiff Sixth Form College to launch new twoyear GCSE course
CARDIFF Sixth Form College, which has been the top school in the UK over the past 10 years for A-level results, has also made history this year with its first cohort of one-year GCSE students. 84% of pupils gained all A*s-A grades (9-7s – English pathway) making the college the number one school in the UK GCSE small school league tables and the top school in Wales in The Sunday Times Parent Power.
Top ranked subjects were biology, chemistry, maths, history and English literature where 100% of students achieved all A*s and As.
The college will be starting a two-year GCSE course in September 2021 and is already receiving applications from local Welsh students.

There is also a wealth of curriculumbased trips such as the geography residential to Margam Park and a whole week of enrichment during October half term where this year’s GCSE cohort visited local attractions such as the Big Pit, St Fagans National Museum of History and enjoyed a guided tour of the Principality Stadium.
As well as a full weekday timetable, the college also organises weekend social activities for students including bowling, adventure golf, cycling, swimming and trip to Winter Wonderland.
