American TV all set to make a drama out of Megxit crisis

-

THE Duchess of Sussex is getting her first leading role on screen since Megxit. Unfortunately, she won’t actually be appearing in it herself.

US channel Lifetime is putting together a drama about Meghan and Prince Harry’s decision to walk away from the Royal Family for a new life in Hollywood.

Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace will imagine pivotal, key “fights, arguments and tense confrontations” between the Sussexes and the Royal Family and courtiers.

Los Angeles TV insiders tell me Meghan will be treated “sympathetically” in the plot, but her clashes with her sister-inlaw Kate, dramas with senior royal courtiers and war with her father

Thomas will not be overlooked.

The movie will be the first American drama to detail Meghan’s life since she and Harry decided to step away freom royal duties and move to the States.

The official synopsis reveals that the film will present a fictional account of “the couple’s controversial conscious uncoupling from the Crown, after the birth of their son Archie”.

It reads: “The movie details the struggles of the new parents and unique challenges of being part of the Royal Family, which ultimately led Harry and Meghan to give up their royal ties to forge a new life on their own terms.”

Someone should have a word with Lifetime about its title, though.

Escaping the Palace? Hardly. Harry and Meghan have yet to escape their taxpayer-funded lifestyle or daddy’s money.
