THE Crown stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith, below, are to star in a socially-distanced performanc­e of Lungs on stage at an empty Old Vic theatre.

The pair made their Old Vic debuts in the play to sell-out crowds last year and will now revive the production of Duncan MacMillan’s play in front of a virtual audience watching live at home. It will be part of Old Vic: In Camera, which will also include a series of rehearsed play-readings streamed live from the stage with the empty auditorium as a backdrop. ■ Go to oldvicthea­tre.com for details.

PARK UP FOR HORRIBLE HISTORIES

BOOK yourself a parking space for Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain. The Birmingham Stage Company production features Queen Boudicca, King Henry VIII, Guy Fawkes, Dick Turpin, Queen Victoria and King Richard III, who in 1485 famously bought a long-stay ticket for a car park in Leicester. They will performing car park shows at Powderham Castle in Devon on July 4 and Henley Festival on July 11.

RAMSEYS BROUGHT TO BOOK

CHRIS and Rosie Ramsey’s award-winning podcast series S**gged. Married. Annoyed. has hit 25 million downloads worldwide since launching last year. The couple are writing their first book together based on the podcast – due in September – but overwhelmi­ng orders crashed the Amazon website.

Chris and Rosie, pictured, say: “We are absolutely blown away that so many people are listening to and enjoying our podcasts whilst being simultaneo­usly mortified that so many people are hearing the sometimes horrific things we say on the podcast... we didn’t think this would happen, but we’ve made our bed now, so we have to sleep in it.”
