MOVIE lovers can enjoy Toy Story, Grease and Joker this summer as part of drive-in film screenings across the UK.

Birmingham Airport and Edinburgh Zoo are among the venues for the Drive- In Events season which will tour 11 cities in 12 weeks from July until September. The company is also seeking to hold other events across the UK, including stand-up comedy, music gigs and raves.

NOW EVERYONE CAN GO TO THE BALL

THE GREAT GATSBY is set to re-open in London’s West End in October with the famous party scene re-imagined as a 1920s masquerade ball, enabling audiences to wear masks and gloves.

Olivier Award-winning producers Louis Hartshorn and Brian Hook say: “Hopefully we can provide a blueprint for other production­s to open safely and be part of the process of restoring employment and the economy of the creative industries.”

The production opens at IMMERSIVE | LDN on October 1.

WELL, HANG IN THERE, DOLLY

THE London opening of Hello, Dolly! starring Imelda Staunton, below, at the Adelphi Theatre in August has been delayed. Producer Michael Harrison and David Ian said: “Whilst we are naturally disappoint­ed that we aren’t able to stage the show this summer, we are completely committed to Hello, Dolly!” Plans are already under way for a new season which we will announced as soon as details are available. Michael and David said: “Dolly will most certainly be back where she belongs.”
