How they rated

- BY IAN MITCHELMORE

FREDDIE WOODMAN

Recovered after failing to grab hold of the ball after Admiral Muskwe’s shot and was otherwise decent. Flapped late on and got away with it. A nervy display in truth.

KYLE NAUGHTON

Made a number of important clearances and was generally solid. Subbed.

RYAN BENNETT

Booked early on for a deliberate handball but made some typically vital defensive interventions after that. Solid.

RYAN MANNING

Another decent defensive shift from the left-back although he was poor in possession at times. Should have won a penalty late on.

MATT GRIMES (C)

Made plenty of tackles in the middle of the park and looked decent late on as Swansea pushed.

JAY FULTON

Couldn’t get going in attack but produced a vital block to deny Dennis Adeniran in the first half. Replaced.

CONOR HOURIHANE

Tried his luck with a shot from distance in the first half but didn’t offer anywhere near enough, in truth. Subbed.

CONNOR ROBERTS

Playing as a winger, the Welshman got into dangerous positions but lacked the ruthless touch in front of goal. Great cross for Liam Cullen to head home.

ANDRE AYEW

His afternoon came to a premature end with what looked like a hamstring injury. Huge blow

JAMAL LOWE

Got into some good positions, but his final ball was desperately lacking. Took his penalty well, though, and didn’t stop going until the end. Good shift.

STAR MAN: MARC GUEHI

Rock-solid at the back and made numerous clearances, tackles and interceptions to stem the tide after Wycombe got a grip on the game in the first half.

SUBSTITUTES

Wayne Routledge (for Ayew, 9): The veteran attacker’s hold-up play was decent and he did set up Roberts. Tough second half, though, and was replaced. 5

Morgan Whittaker (for Naughton, 54): Looked lively as Swansea pushed late on. A decent threat. 6

Yan Dhanda (for Hourihane, 54): Some decent moments and he tried to make things happen. 6

Liam Cullen (for Routledge, 76): Scored shortly after coming on to level proceedings. Good to see him back out there. 6

Not used: Hamer, Latibeaudiere, Bidwell, Cabango.
