People of Wales not being represented

-

FOLLOWING the news these last few days I have been amazed at the twist in information from the Welsh Government. They are now claiming a major success with the vaccine rollout, conveniently forgetting that they tried to slow it down in the beginning.

Remember Mark Drakeford said it wasn’t a race: what’s next, firemen on push bikes and book an appointment if you need an ambulance for an emergency? Everybody knows the need for speed when people are dying.

They also claim that education is improving in leaps and bounds which is patently not true as we have the lowest standard in the UK. We have poured millions into Welsh language education, completely ignoring that virtually all university education is in English. All major employers use English as standard in their workplace and in the rest of the world English is the business language. So their politics come before our children’s future.

The disaster in the Welsh NHS has been ongoing for at least the past 10 years. They have had major problems in recruiting senior staff from elsewhere in the UK and from around the world. Could it be because they send out application forms in English and Welsh and if these people come they and their families will have to become competent in Welsh?

I have worked in dual language countries and in the main all it does is divide the population and cause many problems in the process.

Last of all I come to the road building programme which has ground to a halt. Without a good road system we cannot move goods in and out of Wales – that is patently obvious to everyone except the Welsh Government. Blinkered and bound up in their own little political bubble, I fail to see how they can claim to represent the people of Wales.
