Charlotte to star in new home renovation show

-

SINGER Charlotte Church is set to star in a new home renovations programme after buying Welsh designer Laura Ashley’s former home.

The new series will follow the star and her family as she embarks on an adventure into property and business in a new show called Charlotte Church: Building the Dream.

As we reported yesterday, Charlotte hopes to renovate the sprawling £1.5m, 49-acre mansion in the stunning Elan Valley into a dazzling holiday retreat, wellness centre and show-stopping wedding venue after falling in love with it.

The show will see the 35-year-old stripping walls, ripping down staircases, sketching designs, and putting her own personal touch onto the property.

“I feel so grateful to have been able to buy this house,” said Charlotte. “I’m absolutely obsessed with the woodlands and the outside space.

“It’s such a special place. I’m really curious about the process of developing the wellness retreat and all the upskilling I’ll be learning about building – I hope!”

The series, produced by Koska, will consist of eight hour-long episodes which will air on Really and Discovery+ later this year.

Head of Lifestyle and Entertainment Brands at Discovery UK and Ireland Clare Laycock said: “I am delighted to be working with Koska on this exciting, brave new project.

“Charlotte Church is one of the UK’s most talented, downto-earth, and recognisable television personalities, and I can’t wait to see the progress she makes in taking on this mammoth challenge.

“Charlotte’s warm and friendly personality will really strike a chord with Really’s passionate audience, who will no doubt be cheering her on every step of the way.”
