WOMAN’S CAR INJURY HORROR

- JONATHON HILL Reporter jonathon.hill@walesonline.co.uk

AWOMAN has described the heart-stopping moment she was reportedly flipped into the air by a car.

OnlyFans model Finley Taylor, 27, was walking her dog with husband Eddie near their Ammanford home on Sunday night when the car allegedly mounted the kerb and ploughed into her at speed.

Ms Taylor was left with “an intense searing pain” all over her body, and said her left leg was unrecognisable as she lay on the ground in Penybanc Road.

She waited for two hours for paramedics to arrive at the scene, while members of Penybanc Rugby Club opposite rushed to help her.

“I can’t describe how bad the pain was,” she said. “I didn’t even see the car coming, I was just in intense pain and scared at the realisation I’d been in such a bad collision. As I lay there, I recall being sure I was going to die.

“I kept telling Eddie how much I love him and kept kissing him. Eddie thought I was going to die too.”

“You wouldn’t believe the state my leg was in,” Ms Taylor continued. “The fat from inside it had sprayed on to my trousers. I was just begging these rugby players to let me die.”

Remarkably, Ms Taylor was back home the next day after spending the night at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, where she had a full CT scan and 15 stitches in her left leg.

She said she feels very lucky to be alive, but is worried about her immediate future in the adult industry.

“Obviously my fans are not going to want to see me in this state, and I’m worried about how long it will be before I’m back to normal,” she said. “I’m lucky my top half is okay. My fans have been so understanding, I can’t thank them enough. It’s been an extremely emotional and difficult few days.”

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police attended a road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 8.50pm on Sunday, May 30, 2021, on the A483 Penybanc Square, Ammanford. A white Citroen car mounted the pavement area, collided with a female pedestrian, and left the scene. The female pedestrian was taken to hospital for her injuries, which were not life-threatening. The driver of the Citroen was arrested by Roads Policing officers.

“Emily Down, 27, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit, driving a vehicle and failing to stop after a road accident and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

“She has been bailed to appear at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on July 1, 2021. The road was reopened at 10.30pm.”
