Remarkable loyalty from City supporters

-

AS a lifelong Cardiff City supporter I have seen the ups and downs of the club over many years.

The style of play that we have adopted in recent times is not pretty to watch for the fans. It is boring, predictable and one dimensional with very little flair for the fans to get excited about.

We see minimum possession which in turn means we create few chances on goal and little for the fans to get them out of their seats.

What is remarkable is the loyalty and support of the majority of the fan base who are desperate to see their side doing well and playing some decent football.

They remain the one constant at the club and are actually the most important part as without them Cardiff City would not exist. They turn up in their droves to support their team week in week out.

I am concerned we will lose many supporters if we continue to regularly play this negative style of football and it will be hard to get those supporters back in the future. The fans will even accept their side losing if we play with passion, skill and flair as was the case recently against Reading when having lost the game the fans gave the players a great reception and really appreciated their efforts.

So come on City, give the supporters something to shout about and be bold in your selection of a new manager at the helm who has respect and passion for the club and can excite, encourage play on the front foot, give the fans something to shout about and hopefully lead the club in the right direction in the future.
