What’s the latest team news?

There is no change from Cardiff City’s perspective, with Morison reporting a clean bill of health following Wednesday’s defeat by QPR.

That will be of some relief as Kieffer Moore went down after a whack on Wednesday, but Morison said he is fine and raring to go.

That means James Collins, Tom Sang and Isaac Vassell are the three senior absentees for the hosts.

For the visitors, captain Jonathan Hogg and Duane Holmes will both have injuries assessed ahead of the Terriers’ trip to Cardiff.

They should have no other new injury issues beyond those two doubts.

What have the managers said? Cardiff City interim boss Steve Morison:

“I honestly believe that if we get that one result, it just gets the monkey off our back.

“Forget about myself. This club needs a win. The players need a win. The fans need a win. [The media] needs us to win, so you can write more positive than negative! Everyone needs a win.

“That’s what we are all striving to do and I hope that everyone can feel that and sense that from the way the players are playing and the words that are coming out of my mouth.”

Huddersfield Town boss Carlos Corberan:

“[Cardiff ] has some similarities to the beginning of the season and some changes because the coach always wants to bring his own personality and details.

“But they’re working with similar players and a similar shape. They have experienced Championship players and I saw a competitive team against Stoke City, and then the other day they were very competitive against a good QPR side. We are focused on the details that can have an influence on the game.

“Cardiff have physical players and are one of the only teams that haven’t conceded yet from a corner, which is an interesting challenge for us and gives us motivation to be the first team to do that.”

Who’s the referee?

David Webb is the man in charge. Daniel Leach and Matthew McGrath willasist him, with Lee Swabey the fourth official.
