BEN HAMER

So much good play with his feet early on, although he could do nothing about Dominic Solanke’s opener. Pressure on him got tougher, although he wasn’t helped by his defenders as Bournemouth ran riot. Ensured it wasn’t more than 4-0.

RYAN BENNETT

Positive early on, although his lack of pace proved costly a few times. Booked for a cynical foul in the first half and gave the ball away in the buildup to Bournemouth’s second goal. Tough day.

KYLE NAUGHTON

Looked composed in the middle of Swansea’s back three and passing was good, on the whole. However, Solanke twice found himself completely unmarked in the middle of the Swansea box.

RYAN MANNING

Looked rattled on several occasions and only really caused problems going forward when the damage was already done. Also booked.

ETHAN LAIRD

Started so well and claimed in vain for a penalty early on. Cut a frustrated figure as the match progressed and was unable to cause the Cherries any issues in the second half.

FLYNN DOWNES

The midfielder impressed in possession and did his share of dirty work, although he got caught up a few times as tempers flared. Booked in the first half, subbed in the second half.

MATT GRIMES (CAPT)

The captain was always an option in the middle of the park. Involved in the little positive attacking play Swansea had and decent enough defensively.

JAKE BIDWELL

Good early on but faded as Swansea regressed. Not too much more he could have done, in fairness.

OLIVIER NTCHAM

As above while he had to work hard defensively after Bournemouth’s improvement. Struggled after the restart before being withdrawn.

JAMIE PATERSON

A couple of flashes early on aside, it was a quieter showing frmo the man who has earned rave reviews so far this season.

JOEL PIROE

Tested Mark Travers just before Swansea fell behind, but, while he didn’t get any clear openings, the Dutchman’s work rate was good. Looked the most likely to score.

SUBSTITUTES

Korey Smith (for Downes) - Sent on with the damage already done. Put himself about but couldn’t really help stem the tide. 6

Liam Walsh (for Ntcham) - N/A Subs not used: Benda, Cabango, Latibeaudiere, Cullen.
