How Swans rated

-

ANDY FISHER

Comfortable save to deny Joe Ralls in the first half and was remarkably composed with the ball at his feet. Clean sheet. Wonderful performance.

BEN CABANGO

Great clearing header just after Swansea went ahead and showed real confidence on the ball. A rock at the back and took his goal incredibly well. Phenomenal outing.

KYLE NAUGHTON

Composed at the back throughout. Took the sting out of proceedings over and over again. His experience well and truly told. Sublime.

JOEL LATIBEAUDIERE

Never got fazed when put under pressure and fought hard when things got physical. Top, top performance.

CYRUS CHRISTIE

Caused problems on the right flank and was more than happy to cut inside to offer a greater threat. Made his fair share of tackles too to limit Cardiff attacks and got the assist for Hannes Wolf late on.

FLYNN DOWNES

A truly special talent. Downes showed immense courage on the ball and gave Swansea’s back three a real safety net. The lad is going to the top.

MATT GRIMES

Typically calm on the ball and always played the right passes. Led by example when it came to everything he did. A real captain’s display.

HANNES WOLF

Spurned a decent chance to test Alex Smithies in the first half and had a really tough battle with Cody Drameh. But he remained threatening in attack and got his first goal for the club.

JOEL PIROE

Played his part in some slick attacks and worked hard defensively too. Had some opportunities but was a key cog in what was a real team effort. Subbed.

JAMIE PATERSON

Put the ball on a plate for Michael Obafemi to tap home the opener and continuously showed good flashes of skill to get his side into promising positions. A tireless effort before being withdrawn.
