Scots are first-up for Wales in 2024

-

THE fixtures for the 2024 Six Nations have been released, with the tournament kicking off with a Friday night clash between the world’s two best sides in France and Ireland.

Wales begin their tournament with the visit of Scotland to Cardiff, before trips to London and Dublin in the following two rounds.

After that, France head to Cardiff in round four before Wales close out the tournament with Italy at home as they seek revenge for the Italians’ last trip to the Welsh capital in 2022.

France begin the tournament by hosting Ireland and finish it with the visit of England, but it’s still unclear where the games will take place.

While France normally play at the Stade de France, they will need to use a different venue as it is prepared for the Olympics in Paris next summer.

Stade Velodrome in Marseille is one possible option to host France’s three home games next year.

Commenting on the 2024 Six Nations fixtures, Six Nations chief executive Ben Morel said: “A constant of the Guinness Six Nations is the drama, unpredictable storylines, and rivalries playing out over five unmissable rounds of fixtures. This is what drives the sheer excitement fans have for this great Championship. We see it every year when the fixtures are confirmed.
