‘Stay safe’ call as better weather
PUBGOERS and diners across the Westcountry are being urged to stay vigilant this weekend, the second since the reopening of the hospitality and tourism sector.
Last weekend poor weather is thought to have put many people off taking their first night out.
But the forecast is looking better for this weekend and civic leaders are warning that the coronavirus pandemic is still a significant risk.
Rob Nolan, Cornwall’s cabinet member for environment and public protection said: “We want to support our local pubs and restaurants and as we enter our second summer weekend of them being reopened we’re reminding everyone that now is not time to be complacent.
