We oldies have been let down – again

AM l the only one wondering where all this money is coming from that Rishi Sunak keeps splashing around?

Pensioners like myself will very soon have to pay for our TV licences, no help there then.

Sorry, l feel we oldies have been let down again. l personally can afford to pay the licence, but a lot of senior citizens can’t and that is their lifeline to the outside world. It’s all very well for the BBC to come up with those in pension credit will be exempt! Not good enough!

They want to cut their cloth according to their means, stop paying ‘stars’ and ‘personalities’ ridiculous sums of money, cut out some of the numerous cookery, gardening, homes, etc, programmes, put on decent films, even if they’re the old ones – some of the rubbish, mostly repeats, aren’t worth watching anyway – and reschedule everything as soon as possible.
