No new deaths for 15th day in West
NO new deaths have been reported at hospitals in Devon or Cornwall for the 15th day in a row.
And data released by the Government also showed that there were no Covid-19 coronavirus patients on ventilators at any hospitals in the South West – with 25 patients hospitalised across the region.
In total, there had been three new admissions to hospitals in the South West. Elsewhere in England another 16 deaths were reported
In a statement released yesterday NHS England said: “A further 16 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,160.
“Patients were aged between 47 and 93 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed.”
The region that recorded the highest number of deaths of patients with Covid-19 was the Midlands, with five. Two died in the East of England; two in Yorkshire and the North East, three in the North West and four in the South East. There were no deaths in London.
In Plymouth the Covid-19 death toll in hospital remains at 83, with 81 confirmed at Derriford Hospital and two confirmed at Mount Gould Hospital.
In Exeter, the total remains at 46, and North Devon and Torbay’s totals remain at 21 and 39 respectively. In Cornwall, the total remains at 91, with 65 of those confirmed at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske, and 26 confirmed at Cornwall Partnership Trust hospitals, which are dotted around the county.
