Change of team for Terry Pryor Memorial day

-

THE Terry Pryor Memorial Day is getting close (Saturday 21st August) however we have had a change forced upon us, The RFU have stated that our planned mach against Cornish Pirates cannot take place as per the Elite Game Covid Regulations/ Restrictions.

This is great shame but we will now play National 1 side Taunton Titans at the Recreation Ground Redruth kick off 3:00pm. We are delighted that we have been able to arrange this fixture and we thank Taunton Titans for their willingness to travel to us to be part of the Terry Pryor Memorial Day. Our relationship with this great club goes back many years and being able to lock horns in National 2 South over the last few seasons has seen some great challenges on the field for both clubs. Admission for this game will be £10 with 50% going directly to “The Terry Pryor Trust”.

We look forward to welcoming the Titans along with their supporters to what promises to be a very emotional but enjoyable day, a fitting tribute to Terry and his family. The rest of the day will go ahead as planned with the launching of the Terry Pryor Trust at the school in the morning (starting at 11am) and then the grandstand dedication and unveiling of the Terry Pryor Memorial Wall in the afternoon at the club.

The Players Reunion will also proceed and I am hoping that the change of fixture will not deter attendance as the opportunity still remains to pay respect to Terry’s contribution to Redruth & Cornwall rugby & Redruth School. Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
