Manipulation of climate figures

-

PEOPLE always manipulate statistics to prove their arguments. If we were to accept Sarah Finch’s interpretation of the climate change figures using per head of population, then all we need to do, to bring down UK figures is to breed like rabbits, simple!

Regarding the statement that China makes half the world’s steel, I think you will find that a lot of that steel is recycled scrap metal bought from around the world cheaply thereby enabling them to undercut our home grown steel companies by selling an inferior product as rusty cars and fridges recycled make rusty steel.

As with a large proportion of imported products bought online by shoppers they are low grade, something if you shopped locally in the past you would have returned. Unfortunately nowadays people seem to only buy on price not quality, as in knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing!

Regarding Sarah’s statement that I was unjustified in suggesting that China and India aren’t working to tackle climate change, how does that stack up with reuters.com and others stating that China has started building 33GW of coal power in 2021, the most since 2016, increasing their over 1,000 coal plants by a further 240 planned or under construction?

If the UK went totally electric for vehicles and all our power needs thereby creating a monopoly for the privately owned electricity industry what do you think that would do to the price we pay? Never put all your eggs in one basket!

By the way look around your home and car, 99% of plastic comes from fossil fuels.
