How many more have broken the rules?

-

I AGREE with Edward Keynaston, John Watts, Mike Jackman and others who feel enough is enough and that the PM’s sincere apology should be the end of the matter, whatever one may think about Boris Johnson and ‘partygate’.

The media and press seem determined to carry on a witch hunt against him and try to drive him out of office. Covid was an unknown virus which no one knew about. Scientists, the medical profession and others now know so much more and the mistakes made shouldn’t happen again.

What about Nicola Sturgeon; if Boris goes, she should also go as she broke her own rules, once going to her holiday home during lockdown last year and this year not wearing a face mask when everyone else had to. Ian Blackford, her representative at Westminster, had the cheek to insist that our PM must resign, yet he ignores Nicola Sturgeon’s breaking her own rules. Her senior health adviser had to resign when she broke the rules and worst of all was the SNP member who thought she might have Covid, travelled by train to London, attended parliament, then tested positive and travelled back to Scotland, again by train. How many people did she infect? She is still an SNP and no one has disciplined, fined or sacked her.

It seems Keir Starmer and Angela Rainer broke lockdown rules by going into a pub for a drink and a bite to eat with their colleagues on their campaign outing. Angela Rainer first denied it, then apologised.

But now it seems that it could have been Keir Starmer who said she wasn’t there, so who are we to believe? Both, and I presume all their colleagues, have been let off by the police. What about other opposition MPs, how many more have broken the rules? It does make one wonder if the police are pro Labour. It is all right for them to make mistakes and apologise but not for Boris Johnson, who was in his ‘own bubble’ in 10 Downing Street, which is his work place.

Also, what about all the hundreds of demonstrators in London and other cities during lockdown; they were all breaking the rules and how many were even wearing masks?

What about Tony Blair when he was Prime Minister, and he took Britain to war on false pretences, he wasn’t hounded out of office and now has a knighthood?!
