PLYMOUTH Auction Rooms is hosting its Fine Jewellery & Watches sale in the next few weeks, with a focus on some great watches that will be of interest to enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Without a doubt, the highlight of the evening will be an impressive 18ct gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner Chromometer (Lot 205). With a stunning blue dial and bezel, 38mm, flip lock oyster bracelet, this watch is fully hallmarked and has an estimate of between £15,000 to £18,000 when it comes under the hammer at the evening auction on Wednesday, April 19.
Auctioneer Paul Keen said: “We have a number of Rolex watches up for sale, including a 1973 vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master Superlative Chronometer (Lot 204). This watch comes with a guarantee booklet.”
Elsewhere in the sale there are a number of affordable watches from well-known brands such as Omega, Breitling and Tag Heuer.
A vintage Breitling Geneve Top Time wristwatch (Lot 210) with manual movement has a price guide of £1,000 £1,500, and a steel-cased Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph automatic date wristwatch (Lot 211) with a white dial is expected to sell for between £1,000 £1,200.
There is a selection of ladies wristwatches up for sale at the evening auction, including a mid-1980’s bi-metal automatic Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust with bronze dot-diamond dial and a bi-metal jubilee bracelet.
This beautiful watch comes complete with the original inner and outer boxes, tags, guarantee paperwork and booklets. With an estimate of between £2,500 - £3,000, this watch is sure to do well.
