‘Deal’ will devastate UK trade with Europe

-

IT was only after the full 2,000-page EU agreement had been released that the true failure of Johnson’s imaginary deal came to light.

It was no wonder Johnson wanted to keep the report to 500 words. In the full so-called Trade Agreement document, 10 pages were devoted to the setting up of dozens of EU-UK committees, assemblies, working groups and steering bodies. The nightmare goes on. Negotiations without end. The so-called deal has to be the worst Trade Reduction Treaty in British history. It will have a devasting effect on trade with Europe.

Johnson’s so called “deal” will not prevent the introduction of huge trade barriers between the EU and the UK. In fact, it will increase red tape. There is a very thin line between Johnson’s so called “deal” and the horrors of no deal.

Johnson’s claim that there will be no tariff barriers to trade in the EU Agreement comes straight out of the Donald Trump book “How to tell Blatant lies”. Surely the purpose of the document is to explain the extra trade barriers?

A further claim by Johnson that the mountains of extra red tape will “galvanise” small businesses really is quite preposterous.

The so called “deal” is not what the government had promised. There is no safety net for small business, there is no job creation scheme and no protection of working practices.

Health and Safety has been totally ignored. Johnson has achieved the unthinkable by uniting leavers and remainers in their criticism of Johnson’s Brexit deal. It’s only a matter of time until the Tory Party eject Johnson.
