Selective memories over Brexit facts

-

I SEE that the same old Remain reality-deniers are at it again, trying to blame our current woes, if they are all woes, on the UK exit from the European Union. Change the record it’s scratched badly.

Strangely, I’ve just been in Sainsburys, Bath Road store in Chippenham and none of the shelves were immodestly bare. Matter of fact I bought everything I had on my shopping list, true there were some empty shelves but they were being restocked as I shopped. I’ve no doubt that the Tesco store I use on a weekend will be able to sell me all I need.

Boris Johnson may have travelled around the country with a banner proclaiming that £350 million extra spending on the NHS, but as Kirsty MacColl sang “There’s a bloke down the Fish and Chip Shop swears he’s Elvis.” I didn’t believe his claim then nor now, though in actual fact his government has spent far more on the NHS than that because of the pandemic. It seems that the remain reality deniers have selective memories and have forgotten all about that, they seem also to have not noticed that there’s a global shortage of HGV drivers and that Germany, the powerhouse of the EU has a larger shortage than we.

It’s always amazed me that their selective memories also forget about their lies saying we Brexiteers were lying when we raised the alarming European Union Armed Forces. They should have a word with President Macron, the font of knowledge on this subject. We also see the European Union organising EU Ambassadors around the world, erm something they said would never happen.

When in December 2019 the electorate had the choice of voting either for the Tories or Labour they found even in steadfast

Labour seats of the red wall, they chose only the Tories instead the racist, undemocratic and economically illiterate combination of Corbyn, McDonell and Abbott. Unfortunately, by trying to keep the trio out in came Boris Johnson, who struggles with all things involving the truth.

Even more devastating for this country we now have an American President who actually hates the British, claiming to be of Irish descent as do most of the right on Democrats within the USA and who believes that Mrs Sacoolas was only guilty of unfortunately accidently killing Harry Dunn. In Afghanistan Mr Biden showed his true colours and it wasn’t pleasant. A strong PM would say to the Americans you can only have Prince Andrew for trial after you have sent Sacoolas here to stand trial for causing death by dangerous driving.
