Away days in the FA Cup for Devon trio

-

PLYMOUTH Argyle, Exeter City and Torquay United have been given tough away draws in the first round of the FA Cup.

The first round draw for the FA Cup was made on Sunday lunchtime, with Argyle and City among the 48 League One and League Two clubs entering the competition at this stage.

Torquay United will join them if they beat Havant & Waterlooville on Wednesday night in a replay after a 2-2 draw at Plainmoor on Saturday.

The Grecians were drawn away to fellow League Two side Bradford City in what was the first tie out of the hat. The two sides played out a 0-0 draw on the opening day of the season, with the Bantams a spot behind Exeter in the table.

The Gulls meanwhile if they win their replay will take on League One giants Charlton Athletic, although the Addicks are struggling this season and are in the relegation zone.

Argyle, top of League One, were drawn away to fellow League One side Sheffield Wednesday.
