Black is back

as the most popular car colour for the first time in five years. Grey is second, followed by white, which was previously the most popular.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said 515,970 buyers chose black last year.

Bronze and yellow were chosen by more buyers than ever before.

In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, white remained the favourite colour.
