ELECTRIFY YOUR BUSINESS FOR 2030

-

Following the UK government’s 2030 deadline for petrol and diesel vehicle sales, it’s clear that businesses – small and large – need to start thinking about how electric vans will fit into their future. The 100% electric Nissan E-NV200 is an easy and dependable way to make the switch today With a practical combined range of 124 miles and a city range of 187 miles (WLTP)[1], the compact E-NV200 is ideal for dashing between towns or threading narrow city streets – especially when you consider that most vans do under 50 miles per day[2]. The Nissan E-NV200 is also easy and cost-effective to charge. You can plug it into a home or work wall-mounted 7kw charger for an eight-hour overnight charge when it’s not being used, making the most of cheaper electric rates. Or, you can charge it from 20% to 80% in 60 minutes on a 50kw rapid charger – a perfect fit for a quick top up in the middle of the working day.[3] With powerful load-friendly instant electric torque, 4.2m3 of cargo space, and up to 705kg payload, it’s as practical and useable as its petrol or diesel equivalent. Alternatively, there’s the E-NV200 combi passenger carrier, which is available in five or seven-seat configurations, or the XL Voltia conversion, which offers up to 8m3 of expanded load space. Electric vans like the E-NV200 are exempt from congestion and Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) charges, saving you £27.50 per day (or £7150 a year) in London. You can also run the E-NV200 for just 3.1p per mile, compared to 8.9p per mile for an equivalent diesel[4], while servicing is 20-30% cheaper for an electric van versus an equivalent diesel van[5]. These are just a few of the many reasons why the E-NV200 was the best-selling electric light commercial vehicle in the UK in 2020 – and why it won the ‘Small Van: Best Value for Ownership Costs’ accolade in the What Car? Van Awards. It got particular praise for being "a compact van with a high capacity", as well as its low running costs and servicing bills. “There’s yet to be a credible rival to this big volume all-electric van,” said What Car? editor Steve Huntingford. “For most owners – especially in large cities, where compact dimensions and low tailpipe emissions are critical – the potential is there for the E-NV200 to be the perfect choice.”
