The Na­tional Tele­vi­sion Awards is back live on ITV on Tues­day 23 Jan­uary, with Der­mot O’Leary again host­ing the glit­ter­ing night. Look out for a spe­cial trib­ute to the late Sir Bruce Forsyth, with the En­ter­tain­ment Award named af­ter him this year. The new Crime Drama cat­e­gory con­sists of a bat­tle between Line of Duty, Broad­church, Strike and Sherlock. Shane Richie is set to re­turn to ITV’s Benidorm as sleazy en­ter­tainer Sammy Valentino. Fans of the show last saw Sammy com­pèring The Pride of Benidorm Awards at the Solana in 2015 when he got punched by Rob Daw­son (Josh Bolt).

Jack White­hall plays geeky Barn­aby who’s left in charge of his fam­ily’s an­tiques shop when his dad (Robert Lind­say) falls ill in Sky One’s com­edy thriller Bounty Hunters. Barn­aby soon en­lists the help of Rosie Perez’s tough New Yorker.

JK Rowl­ing presents the BBC2 doc­u­men­tary Harry Pot­ter, a His­tory of Magic, which cel­e­brates 20 years of her world fa­mous books and films. She’ll be un­cov­er­ing the real life tra­di­tions of magic at the heart of Harry Pot­ter…

Com­edy and stage leg­end Michael Craw­ford will guide seven celebri­ties be­fore they sing a mu­si­cal num­ber at the Pal­la­dium. ITV’s one-off All Star Mu­si­cals with Michael Craw­ford is hosted by An­drew Flintoff and fea­tures Re­becca Front and Denise Lewis.
