The National Television Awards is back live on ITV on Tuesday 23 January, with Dermot O’Leary again hosting the glittering night. Look out for a special tribute to the late Sir Bruce Forsyth, with the Entertainm­ent Award named after him this year. The new Crime Drama category consists of a battle between Line of Duty, Broadchurc­h, Strike and Sherlock. Shane Richie is set to return to ITV’s Benidorm as sleazy entertaine­r Sammy Valentino. Fans of the show last saw Sammy compèring The Pride of Benidorm Awards at the Solana in 2015 when he got punched by Rob Dawson (Josh Bolt).

Jack Whitehall plays geeky Barnaby who’s left in charge of his family’s antiques shop when his dad (Robert Lindsay) falls ill in Sky One’s comedy thriller Bounty Hunters. Barnaby soon enlists the help of Rosie Perez’s tough New Yorker.

JK Rowling presents the BBC2 documentar­y Harry Potter, a History of Magic, which celebrates 20 years of her world famous books and films. She’ll be uncovering the real life traditions of magic at the heart of Harry Potter…

Comedy and stage legend Michael Crawford will guide seven celebritie­s before they sing a musical number at the Palladium. ITV’s one-off All Star Musicals with Michael Crawford is hosted by Andrew Flintoff and features Rebecca Front and Denise Lewis.
