Last week’s dramatic cliffhanger saw Georgie trapped beneath the rubble after another earthquake hit Nepal.
With Captain James and co searching for her, it’s a safe bet the medic will make it out alive. But there’s more trouble in store once Georgie (Michelle Keegan) has recovered, as 2 Section is about to enlist the help of Special Forces, led by Elvis who once jilted her.
‘He reappears towards the end of this episode. A politician has been captured by the Taliban and is being tortured, so Elvis and the SAS have to go in to rescue him,’ says former Musketeers star Luke Pasqualino. ‘They take a small team with Maisie as the driver, and he asks Georgie to come along as medic, because he needs someone he can trust.’
During the last series, Georgie was caught in a love triangle between her ex, Elvis, and her fiancé Jamie. Many viewers hoped Elvis and Georgie would rekindle their romance, despite their difficult history, but Georgie chose the single life, leaving both Elvis and Jamie out in the cold.
‘Their relationship is still very much the same – it’s up and down,’ Luke says. ‘They’re very much in love with each other, but they can’t be together because there’s too much history; it drives them apart. Georgie has a huge trust issue with Elvis, but the ‘will they won’t they?’ question is still there. They’re like Ross and
Rachel in Friends.’
