Miracle workers!

a team of catholic nuns hope to change the lives of five loud-and-proud party girls…

Within the peaceful walls of the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Swaffham, Norfolk, devout Catholic nuns live a quiet life of spiritual contemplation. But this week, they’re opening their doors to welcome five party girls who worship social media, booze and boys!

In a four-part documentary, Rebecca, Sarah, Gabbi, Tyla and Paige, all aged between 19 and 23, will live alongside the nuns at the convent. But when the girls arrive, it’s soon clear they have no idea what they’ve signed up for.

‘I thought I was going to be on a Love Island-type TV show, so I was gobsmacked when I saw the nuns!’ says club worker Rebecca, 19.

The sisters quickly decide to lay down the law. ‘We were surprised to hear how these girls were leading their lives,’ says Sister Francis. ‘We laid down ground rules about how one should behave in a convent, because we didn’t want drunken orgies or anything like that!’

Time to reflect

The girls are to adopt the sisters’ simplistic lifestyle, and there will be no drinking, smoking or social media.

‘We organised a programme of prayer, work, activities and silence,’ says Sister Francis. ‘We wanted them to follow our day-to-day lives.’

At first, the girls are seen fighting against the system, but they soon bond with the sisters and begin to question their own priorities.

‘I was partying seven days a week, but my time in the convent made me realise my family is more important,’ says Rebecca. ‘I think every young person should live with nuns for a bit!’
