An emergency birth sees Stacey and her newborn in danger…
Stacey’s world crashed around her last week. In the late stages of pregnancy with the worry of Arthur’s health on her mind, the mum was pushed to breaking point when social services turned up after receiving a complaint. When she found out Carmel was the one who reported her because she lost her rag with Lily, Stacey blew her top.

But rage turned out to be the least of the family’s worries for Stacey, who then started fitting. This week, as the dramatic situation continues at No.3, the heavily pregnant mum is rushed to hospital. There, the doctors swiftly perform a Caesarean section and deliver a girl!
Martin is overwhelmed when he hears he’s the father of a newborn daughter – but his joy is short-lived when he finds his wife is in a critical condition, and there are serious complications concerning the baby’s health…
As their child’s life hangs in the balance, Stacey blocks out the world, shunning
Martin and refusing, at first, to visit their baby.
‘Stacey feels a guilt towards Martin,’ says Lacey Turner, who plays the mum. ‘All he wanted was a baby of their own and that’s what she wanted to give him – but she feels she can’t even do that properly.’
Martin battles to stay positive, but when Stacey snaps and rants at him, he finally cracks.
As the frail baby fights for her life, can Stacey find the strength to get through this and be there for her?
