Ant and Dec are back for more jungle japes, but it’s the celebrities who must survive in camp. Rumoured to be heading there this year are German tennis legend Boris Becker, former Strictly dancer James Jordan, The Saturdays singer Vanessa White, Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah, Alan Titchmarsh, rugby star Ben Cohen and former X Factor contestant Honey G.
Expect critters galore and, of course, more than a few petrified celebrities, as it’s time for the return of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Hosts Ant and Dec are back to welcome the famous faces into the Australian jungle where, for three weeks, they’ll face those dreaded Bushtucker Trials.
One person who knows exactly how they’ll be feeling is reigning Queen of the
Jungle Scarlett Moffatt.
‘My advice is: watch the show! I used to watch and think, “It can’t be that bad”, but it is, so you need to prepare yourself,’ says the
Gogglebox star, who fronts ITV2 spin-off show I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp with comic and last year’s runner-up, Joel Dommett, and regular host Joe Swash.
Whirlwind success
This year’s rumoured line-up includes former Corrie actor Ryan Thomas – following brother Adam’s stint last year – one-time Strictly star James Jordan, tennis ace Boris Becker, and The X Factor’s Honey G. ‘I’d love to see Honey G in a hammock, plus she can rap, which would keep morale up,’ says Scarlett. ‘I’ve always wanted to see a couple or siblings in camp to mix things up. The Chuckle Brothers would be great!’
Since winning I’m A Celebrity…, Scarlett’s enjoyed a whirlwind year, including hosting C4 dating show Streetmate, and her own segment on Saturday Night Takeaway.
And she’s hoping this year’s winner will be just as successful. ‘I’m excited about handing over the crown,’ she says. ‘I hope whoever wins has as much luck as me.’
