How far will the registrar go to secure the top job?

Registrar Judy Fellows was so annoyed when Kate Dickenson was promoted to superintendent, she vowed to discredit her by exposing CCTV footage of Kate and colleague Rick Severs having sex at work. This week, Judy steps up her campaign to ruin Kate’s name.

‘Judy’s a very lonely woman, who hasn’t really got anything else in her life, so this promotion was her one beacon of hope,’ says Humans star Rebecca Front, who plays Judy. ‘That’s why she lost it with Kate.’

To get Judy off her back, Kate resigned, but Judy still threatened to send a clip of the footage to boss Matthew.

Surprise email

So this week, when the staff at the register office – including Matthew – receive the saucy video clip via email, Kate’s certain that Judy’s the culprit. When Matthew confronts Judy, however, she flatly denies sending it.

Later, Kate and Rick are thrilled when Matthew says they can keep their jobs. What’s more, Matthew still wants Kate to be superintendent! But as Judy learns Kate’s bagged the top job again, she tells Matthew he’s made a huge mistake!

Then Matthew warns Judy that he knows about her blackmail, and if their IT department can prove she did send the video, she’ll not only be sacked but he’ll have her prosecuted!

‘She’s not really bad,’ says Rebecca. ‘She’s just one of those people who ties themselves up in knots and makes wrong decisions. She does some things that are truly unforgiveable.’
