Barry Elliott 1944-2018

Best known for…

As one half of comedy duo The

Chuckle Brothers, alongside his brother Paul, Barry shot to fame after winning ITV talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1967. They went on to star in Children’s BBC show ChuckleVision (1987-2009).

Other famous achievements…

The pair won a Children’s BAFTA in 2008, recorded a charity single with rapper Tinchy Stryder in 2014, and returned to TV this year with Chuckle Time on Channel 5 – Barry’s last on-screen appearance.

Family life…

Barry, 73, who had been battling a heart condition, died at home with his wife, Ann, by his side.
