Gail was horrified when Lewis reappeared in June at the heart of another moneygrabbing scam. Seeing as he ripped her off and came between her and her mum years back, Gail hoped she would never lay eyes on the smooth criminal again.
Secrets and lies
Audrey was summoned to prison last week to see Lewis, who declared he was a changed man and still in love her. As proof, Lewis repaid the money he scammed from Gail.
Now, Audrey’s feelings have come flooding back just in time for his upcoming release. The conman has proposed they be together – and Audrey decides she wants that, too.
‘Once she had seen him in prison and reignited the flame, she does want to believe him,’ says Sue Nicholls, who plays Audrey.
After confiding her feelings in Claudia, knowing Gail won’t approve, Audrey then tells her daughter she’s going on a cruise – when really she’s at home with Lewis! But Gail isn’t easily fooled.
‘Gail discovers the cruise is a lie and she is worried about Audrey, so she heads over to her house at Grasmere Drive,’ explains Sue.
Trapped
‘Audrey and Lewis have music playing and are about to have a dance when Audrey sees Gail’s horrified face peering through the window!’
