Look out for former Casualty star Suzanne Packer, who turns up in Doctor Who this week. Injured and stranded in the wilds of a far-flung galaxy, the Doctor, Yaz, Graham and Ryan must join up with a group of strangers to survive against one of the universe’s most deadly creatures…
The Doctor and her pals battle a deadly creature…
Casualty’s Suzanne Packer turns up as a guest star in Doctor Who this week. Suzanne plays mysterious General Eve Cicero, a former hero space fighter pilot, who is at a futuristic hospital with her brother Durkos (comedian Ben Bailey Smith) and robot servant Ronan.
The Doctor and her companions Graham (Bradley Walsh), Yasmin (Mandip Gill) and Ryan (Tosin Cole) are incapacitated and recovering in this hospital after being caught up in a ‘sonic mine’ explosion on a planet that’s piled high with junk.
Soon, the TARDIS travellers, medical staff and other patients at the hospital come under deadly attack from a ferocious little creature called a Pting…
At the heart of the mystery is something called The Tsuranga Conundrum, and the Doctor relies heavily on her friends to help defeat the critter!
‘The Doctor works so well with her companions,’ says Jodie Whittaker, who plays the Time Lord. ‘We are all now close friends. Thankfully, none of us find Bradley annoying – it would be a long nine months of filming if we did!’
