Family strife
Will interferes in his sister Juliette’s relationship after making a chilling discovery...
Acomplex investigation challenges DI Will ‘Staffe’ Wagstaffe as his personal troubles escalate in this week’s two instalments of Dark Heart.
When the detective
(Tom Riley) looks into the bizarre death of a nurse at a London Underground station, it transpires that the victim ingested poisonous seeds.
Connections soon emerge to a surgeon at the hospital where the nurse worked and, as the death count rises, the surgeon’s wife, Phoebe (Claire Goose) demands answers…
Meanwhile, Will is also battling to protect his sister, Juliette.
The mum, played by Charlotte Riley, is irate
when her son, Harry (Joseph Teague), is caught shoplifting. Will tries to find out why Harry’s misbehaving, but he’s horrified to discover that Harry has bruises that seem to have been caused by Juliette’s fiancé, Paulo (Edward Akrout).
Consequences
‘Will was a father figure to Harry until Paulo came along, so it grates on Will having him in the picture,’ says Charlotte.
But as Will confronts Paulo for hitting his nephew, there could be consequences for Juliette’s future happiness...
Matters grow increasingly complicated when Will unearths surprising information about the finances of his parents, who were murdered when he and Juliette were teenagers. Can his sister answer his questions?
‘They’ve both been hugely affected by the loss of their parents,’ says Charlotte. ‘I think Juliette knows more. There’s something that she’s holding back from Will…’
