Jac on the warpath!

Facing the prospect of being unable to walk following a spinal injury, Jac Naylor was relieved when John Gaskell operated on her as part of his stem-cell implant trial, as the procedure appears to have been a big success. But, this week, she has grave concerns…
Jac and Professor Gaskell (Paul McGann) team up when patient Josh Bloom returns to Holby with heart issues after having the same spinal surgery as Jac. But as she battles to save Josh, Jac has doubts over her own health.
Meanwhile, plucky medic Meena Chowdhury (Salma Hoque) stumbles on evidence convincing her Gaskell’s stem-cell implants are faulty, and that he’s known all along. And she’s quick to tell Jac!
Lives in danger
Later, Jac discovers Josh is riddled with scar tissue that has developed because of the implant. And when the boy starts bleeding out, there are worries he could die. Knowing she has the same implant, Jac is gripped with fear. She flees theatre, furious that Gaskell knows the implants are faulty!
Jac tells Gaskell she wants her implant removed – and she wants him out of Holby, too! How will he respond?
‘Up to now, no one has known just how faulty Gaskell’s implants are,’ says Rosie Marcel, who plays Jac. ‘He’s sadistic and will let people die for the sake of his project.’
