Dropping in on parachute website
My name is Bill Watts and I served with the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment in Palestine from 1945- 48. I have been trying to contact some of my old pals for years and when messages left on various Para boards were unsuccessful, I decided to build my own website. So in 2002, at the grand old age of 76, I took a course in website design.
The address of my site is 3para1945- 48palestine.com and it was built for the sole purpose of reuniting ex-members of my battalion. During the past few years I’ve traced more than 60 members.
My website includes hundreds of photos taken in Palestine and now represents a pictorial record of the battalion’s service there. I am still hopeful of tracing and reuniting more members and any publicity which you can provide will be very much appreciated. Bill Watt, by email
