Lancashire BMD is committed to providing free online access to Lancashire Register Office records, which stretch back to 1837. The herculean task of uploading these records is taken on by local family history societies, including that of Lancashire. To date, volunteers have uploaded over 19 million records that are fully and freely searchable.
