A rchivist ’s top tips

Matthew Jones, West Sussex Record Office Assistant Archivist, says their monthly ‘coffee time’ sessions on the first Wednesday of the month are a way of introducing beginners to the range of material held here. “This year, for instance, we have workshops on parish, school and naval records. We also have a session on using Ancestry and Findmypast and another on reading old handwriting.”
