Who Do You Think You Are?

Slum stars set for WDYTYA? LIVE

-

Two participants from hit BBC series The Victorian Slum will be sharing their stories at the next Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE show in Birmingham.

Appearing in a session on the second day of the event (Friday 7 April), Mandy Howarth and Heather Potter will discuss their motivations for taking part in the reality programme, and what it truly means to explore the day-to-day lives of your ancestors.

For added historical context, they’ll be joined by Professor Carl Chinn from the University of Birmingham, who also appeared in the series.

The talk is among many highlights lined up for the Society of Genealogists Theatre 1 this year, with Who Do You Think You Are? star Sunetra Sarker dropping by on Saturday 8 April for two sessions that will explore her Bengali family history journey.

The research team behind Danny Dyer’s fascinating episode will also be in attendance on Thursday 6 April, revealing how they uncovered the star’s unlikely connection to royalty.
