This is one of the largest family history events in England. The fair features over 70 exhibitors from across the UK and Ireland, so your ancestors don’t have to be from Yorkshire. There will be free talks throughout the day from award-winning town crier Michael Wood; social historian Keith Gregson; military expert Chris Baker; and online genealogy expert Mark Bayley. The event sprawls over two floors, which have wheelchair access. Children under 14 go free and it’s a bargain at £4.80 for adults. Harry Ridgewell
