Normally sold on CD by my-history.co.uk at a cost of £10 (or £8 download from sister website twrcomputing.co.uk), this publication contains a wealth of information about businesses and tradespeople across interwar Lincolnshire.
Handily, the directory also features sections on the neighbouring East Anglian counties of Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
General Loft’s Lincolnshire Notes
Published by Lincolnshire FHS, this 610-page document features transcriptions of notes originally created by General John Henry Loft, who travelled around Lincolnshire recording monumental inscriptions, information about churches, and local gossip between 1826 and 1844.
Normally £10, the publication contains observations on more than 100 places of worship (including nonconformist chapels), alongside memorial inscriptions and extracts from parish register. With references to over 2,000 surnames, it’s a fantastic resource for anyone with Lincolnshire roots.
Lincolnshire Inquests Volume 1
Worth £10, this Lincolnshire FHS product contains details of over 10,000 inquests held between 1753 and 1880. Fully searchable, the document incorporates records from the Lindsey, Kesteven and Holland quarter sessions, as well as local newspapers.
