Researcher­s are trying to find out more about the lives of the men from the village of Dunster in Somerset who were killed in the First World War, including the 22 listed on the village’s war memorial, those who are named on individual plaques in St George’s Church and those buried in Dunster cemetery.

The men named on the memorial are: Ronald James Ewart Blackwell, Frank D’Arcy Blofeld, Alan Bryant, Reginald Garfield Burrough, Maurice William Clatworthy, Edwin Court, Rupert Edmunds, George Fyfe, Thomas Greenslade, Arthur Greenway, Joseph Jennings, Leslie Knowles, Alan Ladd, Herbert Mogridge, Charles George Morris, Sidney James Norman, William Frederick Thomas Piddington, Henry Patteson Strong, John Thomas, Robert Webber, Robert Charles Webber and Richard Wedlake.
